My work explores the hidden territory where mortality, myth, and the unconscious meet.
Through digital drawing, mixed media, and print, I use skulls, animals, runes, tarot imagery, and other esoteric symbols to examine experiences that are difficult to approach directly: death, transformation, fear, intuition, and the unknown.
I am drawn to symbols because they carry meanings older and larger than any single explanation. A rune, a skeletal form, or a figure from the tarot can be both familiar and mysterious, revealing something different to each person who encounters it. I do not use these images to provide answers, but to create openings for recognition, contemplation, and discovery.
Death positivity is central to my practice. Rather than treating death and decay as subjects to be hidden or feared, I explore them as natural parts of existence and powerful sources of beauty, meaning, and renewal. Mortality gives shape to life. Transformation often begins with the ending of something we believed was permanent.
Beneath the Mind describes both my studio practice and the question behind it. What do we find beneath habit, certainty, and the stories we tell ourselves? My work is an invitation to enter that deeper landscape, where symbols speak, boundaries become less certain, and the unknown feels alive.
